Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol has made the social media buzz once again with the announcement of his forthcoming movie, Ikka, and an exciting motion poster that promises a high-impact cinematic experience.

Sunny posted the motion poster on his Instagram handle with the mighty caption, “Naa koi ghulam, naa koi badshah, sirf IKKA.” The fans instantly struck a chord with the line, hinting to the potential story based on power, rebellion, and individuality.

New Action Drama After the Success of Gadar 2.

After the colossal hit of Gadar 2, which declared Sunny Deol as the ultimate action hero of Bollywood, Ikka appears to continue his streak of high intensity, high-energy roles. The motion poster features a bold, rugged tone, just what fits into the larger-than-life character of Sunny.

The announcement immediately became trending on social media. Ameesha Patel to the post by commenting, “Handsomee.” The comment section was flooded with enthusiasm as fans could not wait to see Sunny back in his action avatar.

Although we are yet to know about the cast, director and storyline of Ikka, the teaser has already created a sense of curiosity among fans.

Sunny Deol’s Work Front

Sunny Deol has several major projects in his pipeline. During his birthday, he also announced an action-based drama, Gabru, which will be released in theatres on March 13, 2026. The unveiling of Ikka only days later further built up anticipation regarding his upcoming slate.

He was last seen in the 2025 action-drama Jaat, and soon will be seen in Border 2, based on his iconic role, which will hit the theatres on January 22, 2026. The long-awaited follow-up to the 1997 war epic is set to feature Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh alongside Sunny.
