India’s most popular youth dating reality show is back with a fresh twist and higher stakes. MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa will go on air on January 9, 2026, with more romance, strategy and drama than ever before. The new season brings a bold format change, new faces, and an expanded telecast schedule that gives fans more episodes every week.
Hosted once again by Sunny Leone, who recently completed a decade with the franchise, the show also marks the return of Karan Kundrra as co host. To the mayhem of this season, Nia Sharma and Uorfi are added in and they are the official mischief makers who will come in, tempt, and trouble the contestants at every stage.
Love versus money takes centre stage
Set against the scenic coastal backdrop of Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, MTV Splitsvilla X6 features 32 contestants, with 16 men and 16 women entering the villa to compete for either love or money. The greatest change in this season is the fact that the contestants are divided into two zones, Pyaar Villa and Paisa Villa, where emotional decision-making and financial temptation collide on a regular basis.
The new format also connects to the previous season, picking up from where ex contestants Digvijay and Kashish left off, adding continuity for long time viewers. With relationships tested by strategy and ambition, the core question driving the season remains simple yet explosive: will love win, or will money take over?
Hosts react to the new season
Speaking about the launch, Sunny Leone shared that Splitsvilla has always reflected how dating and relationships evolve with every generation. She talked of the Pyaar Ya Paisa twist with excitement saying that emotions will be taken to the extreme and surprises will be taken where least expected.
Karan Kundrra called his return to MTV a homecoming and said hosting Splitsvilla again feels special. He further said that it will be a tougher season to watch the contestants maneuver love, now that money has been involved, and that Nia Sharma and Uorfi will continue to add excitement into the mix.
Contestants and where to watch
Although MTV has not officially released the final list of contestants, some names are already doing the rounds online. Reports and social media discussions suggest possible participants such as Kushal Tanwar, Niharika Tiwari, Shubhangi Jaiswal, Yogesh Rawat, Akansha, Tanye de Villiers, Himanshu Arora, Ashmita Adhikari, Mohit Magotra, Ayush Sharma, Kaira Anu, Vishu Bajaj, Gauresh Gujral, Anuj Sharma, Piyush Sharma, Aarav Chugh, Simran Khan, Anjali Schmuck, Deeptanshu Saini, Anushka Gosh, Suzzane, and Keona Rajani. However, the makers are yet to confirm the final lineup.
Presented by Instax Fujifilm and co powered by Sofy, NEWME, Envy Perfumes, and Philips Body Groomer, MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa will air for the first time three days a week. New episodes will stream every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 pm on MTV India and JioHotstar.
So, a new format, a breathtaking setting and 24-hour-long drama, the next season is shaping up to be one of the most explosive editions of Splitsvilla yet.
