Mumbai: For years, Eid and Salman Khan have gone hand in hand, with the superstar turning the festive window into one of the most profitable periods for Hindi cinema. From Wanted to Dabangg, his releases have shaped audience expectations around the holiday. Although there will not be a Salman release on Eid 2026, the actor already has plans of a great comeback on Eid 2027.
Industry sources claim that Salman Khan is now in talks with Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally to do a big feature film. The three are in the process of coordinating timelines to see the film released in theatres in the Eid 2027. It is expected that the makers will finalise their plans in the near future and officially announce them.
A mass entertainer with emotional depth
The film is said to be a full-on commercial entertainer designed to match Salman Khan’s larger-than-life image. The story will also have a heartfelt element alongside the high-octane action, with the purpose of reaching as many people as possible. Vamshi Paidipally is said to be eager to package Salman in a manner that fans will adore, putting emphasis on his mass appeal and presence onscreen.
Shoot planned across India with grand scale
Pre-production work is already underway, with the team gearing up to begin filming in April. The project will be shot across multiple locations in India and will involve extensive visual effects, indicating a big-budget spectacle in the making.
While the makers are carefully planning every aspect before going public, one thing seems certain. The movie is circled to be launched in the first half of 2027, and its main target is Eid. Provided everything goes well, Salman Khan might take the festive box office once again and re-assert their dominance on the holiday season.
