After recently announcing Sreeleela as the female lead, the team has now confirmed that Sai Pallavi has joined the cast in a key role. The announcement has immediately raised the anticipation of the viewers, particularly those who have been eager to see Dhanush and Sai Pallavi come back together on the screen.

D55 marks Dhanush and Sai Pallavi’s second collaboration after Maari 2. The duo gained massive popularity due to the number one song Rowdy Baby that made it a cultural phenomenon through its catchy energy and dance steps. Their meeting eight years later brought back memories and gave them high hopes of what they are about to offer to the screen this time round.
While Sreeleela plays the primary female lead, Sai Pallavi is set to portray another prominent female character, adding more depth and star power to the film’s cast.

The film is being directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who recently delivered a major blockbuster with Amaran.
