Mumbai: Bollywood is gearing up for one of its most anticipated year-end releases. The romantic drama starring Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, earlier titled Ek Din, has now been officially renamed Mere Raho. The film will hit theatres on 12 December 2025, just weeks after its initially announced release date of November 7.

Directed by Sunil Pandey, the project carries special significance as it brings together Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan as producers under the Aamir Khan Productions banner. The collaboration marks the brothers’ reunion after 17 years, following their last successful outing, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008, which became a cult classic among the youth.

Mere Raho is also notable for its fresh lead pairing. Sai Pallavi, one of South Indian cinema’s most acclaimed actresses, is set to make her Bollywood debut with this film. Opposite her, Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan’s son, will be seen in what is being billed as his most ambitious project to date. Trade experts believe the combination of Pallavi’s pan-India appeal and Junaid’s fresh presence could bring an exciting new dynamic to the big screen.

Adding to the film’s visual grandeur, large portions have been shot in Japan, including sequences at the famous Sapporo Snow Festival, which is expected to provide a striking backdrop for the love story. Reports suggest that despite occasional weather delays, the production moved ahead smoothly and is now in post-production.

Industry watchers are keenly observing the film’s trajectory, not just because of its star cast, but also because it signals the return of Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan working together after a long hiatus. With a fresh title, a prime release date, and a promising storyline, Mere Raho is already being tipped as a major highlight of the 2025 release calendar.
