Shoot Kicks Off in Mumbai, Ajay Devgn Joins Sets

According to reports by Variety India, filming for Golmaal 5 officially began on Monday, February 23, in Mumbai. The first shooting schedule is expected to continue for nearly a month. Ajay Devgn will join the sets starting February 25 and Priyamani already commenced shooting her scenes. Despite the fact that the information regarding her character is being kept under an extreme lock and key, her appearance is being regarded as one of the biggest attractions of the new instalment.

Core Cast Returns, Franchise Grows Bigger

Golmaal remains one of the most successful comedy franchises in Hindi cinema, known for its madcap humour, ensemble storytelling, and iconic characters. Golmaal 5 will revive the original cast of the first four films, with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade. Popular supporting actors such as Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Ashwini Kalsekar are also bound to repeat their popular roles.

There have also been strong rumours about Akshay Kumar possibly joining the cast. However, the makers are yet to confirm this development officially.

Film Moves Forward After Security Scare

The production of Golmaal 5 gains pace weeks after a worrying incident at Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, where five rounds of bullets were reportedly fired. The Mumbai Crime Branch investigation found out that the vehicle that was used in the incident was obtained in Pune. According to officials, the accused, which included Subham Lonkar, was reported to have intended to create panic in the city. It was also mentioned that Rs 40000 was transferred to one of the arrested suspects who was in communication with Lonkar via one messaging application.

Despite the shocking episode, the makers have pushed forward with the shoot, ensuring full security arrangements on set.

The introduction of Priyamani, the reunion of the legends and the trademark comic touch of Rohit Shetty has made Golmaal 5 one of the most anticipated entertainers in the upcoming Bollywood list. When the film is finally released to the big screen, fans should expect to laugh, get chaotic, and have high-energy fun.
