Mumbai: Bollywood dance sensation Nora Fatehi is making waves internationally as her latest music video “What Do I Know (Just A Girl)” featuring Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea has garnered 12,727,480 views just three days after its release. The track, released under Warner Records in partnership with 5 Junction Records, marks a defining moment in Fatehi’s transition from Bollywood icon to global pop artist.
The Canadian-born performer of Moroccan descent has spent a decade dominating Indian cinema with chart-topping numbers like “Dilbar,” which became the first Hindi song to hit 20 million YouTube views in 24 hours. Now, she’s declaring her “Pop Girl Era” with full conviction. Earlier this year, her collaboration with Jason Derulo on “Snake” crossed 130 million views and charted at #38 on UK Spotify, proving her international appeal.
“What Do I Know (Just A Girl)” pays homage to pop legends Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears, and Madonna through stunning visuals directed by Arrad, who’s worked with Cardi B and Missy Elliott. The track was penned by three-time Grammy nominee Justin Tranter, the mastermind behind hits for Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez. The song cleverly plays on the viral “I’m just a girl” social media trend while exploring themes of femininity, power, and self-awareness.
Shenseea, born Chinsea Linda Lee in 1996, brings her signature dancehall flavor to the collaboration. The Jamaican powerhouse gained recognition after remixing Vybz Kartel’s “Loodi” and has since worked with Kanye West on his “Donda” album, earning her first Grammy nomination. Her recent album “Never Gets Late Here” also received a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album, and she’s been crowned the #1 Jamaican female artist of the decade after surpassing 1 million career units sold in the US.

The duo will make their US television debut performing the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 19, marking a significant milestone for both artists. Fatehi recently debuted the track at Dubai’s Untold Festival alongside heavyweights like J Balvin and Martin Garrix.
Beyond music, Nora continues expanding her repertoire. She starred in Amazon Prime’s “Be Happy” and Netflix’s “The Royals” this year, and has a lead role lined up in Tamil film “Kanchana 4.” Her appearance at Paris Fashion Week as a Louis Vuitton muse and her historic FIFA World Cup performance further cement her global status.
With over 47 million Instagram followers and 1.2 billion streams across platforms, Nora Fatehi isn’t just crossing borders—she’s redefining what it means to be a South Asian artist on the world stage. Her partnership with Anjula Acharia’s 5 Junction Records aims to create a pipeline for South Asian talent to reach Western audiences, and Nora is leading that charge with undeniable star power.
