Mumbai: The powerful cop drama Mardaani 3 is preparing for its digital debut after a successful run in theatres. Led by Rani Mukerji, the third instalment of the popular franchise struck a chord with audiences and emerged as the third highest grossing Hindi film of 2026. The film stood behind Border 2 and O’Romeo at the box office.
Now, fans who missed the film on the big screen will soon be able to watch it at home. The gripping action thriller is expected to start streaming on Netflix from March 27, 2026. The date has been estimated based on the usual eight week window after a film’s theatrical release. However, the makers have not yet officially confirmed the streaming announcement.
Mardaani 3 OTT release and story
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, Mardaani 3 hit theatres on January 30, 2026. The film was produced by Yash Raj Films, which has backed the franchise since the beginning.
It is another tale of fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, who is portrayed by Rani Mukerji. In this instalment, the senior superintendent of police plunges into a risky case of missing 93 girls. Her quest brings her to the dark realm of organised mafia of beggars who have their operations running on a strong network of criminals.
When Shivani attempts to blow the whistle against the syndicate and save the few girls who are missing, she is up against some of the most vicious criminals that she has ever come across. The movie keeps the audience on the edge of their seats with its thrilling chase scenes, emotional scenes and the unstopping struggle of the officer in search of justice.
Mallika Prasad and Janki Bodiwala are also among the cast members. The role of Mallika is especially remarkable as it is the first female antagonist in the Mardaani franchise that creates a fresh twist in the narration.
Rani Mukerji joins Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King
Rani Mukerji has already set another big project after the success of Mardaani 3. She will appear in King, a future action entertainer starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Siddharth Anand directs the film and the movie has huge ensemble cast. The film shall feature Suhana Khan, in her debut commercial film, with Rani and Shah Rukh. It also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi. The highly anticipated film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
With Mardaani 3 heading to streaming soon, the film is expected to reach an even wider audience. For fans of Rani Mukerji and intense crime dramas, the Netflix premiere will be another chance to witness Shivani Shivaji Roy’s fearless fight against crime.
