Mumbai: The much-awaited teaser of Nagabandham was unveiled on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, instantly creating strong buzz across film circles and social media. Superstar Mahesh Babu released the teaser, and this raised the hype levels around this ambitious pan-India project.
The film is directed by Abhishek Nama and stars Virat Karna in the lead role and it is staged on an enormous scale. The film, supported by the producers Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy under NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, is expected to be done with high production values and a huge cinema screen. The project is presented by Lakshmi Ira and Devansh Nama and is slated for a multi-language theatrical release in Summer 2026.
A Mystical Tale Set Against the Himalayas
Set against the breathtaking and mystic backdrop of the Himalayas, the teaser introduces a hidden cosmic secret that has been protected for centuries. When human greed threatens to expose this sacred power, destiny chooses a warrior to rise and safeguard the balance of the universe. The story is partially based upon the historical invasion of Afghanistan by Abdali and its mixture of cultural opposition and divine protection.




At the heart of the story lies the sacred Nagabandham Temple, believed to guard an ancient cosmic energy. The teaser is not accompanied by dialogues, but it creates a powerful impression with powerful visuals, massive world-building, and a high level of VFX. The teaser is more than two and a half minutes long and provides a compelling cinema experience that sets the mood of intrigue without supplying the key points of the plot.
Virat Karna’s Powerful Transformation Steals the Spotlight
Virat Karna appears in a fierce and intense avatar, showcasing impressive physical transformation and commanding screen presence. Among the most memorable instances are his powerful Shiva-like appearance that has already raised debates among the fans. His numerous avatars are indicative of a multifaceted performance that is strong, spiritual and emotional.



The film also features a strong supporting cast including Nabha Natesh, Ishwarya Menon, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Murali Sharma, Jaya Prakash, BS Avinash, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles, adding further weight to the narrative.
