Mumbai: Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, known for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, has reportedly been offered a massive Bollywood project worth nearly ₹540 crore, according to a report by The Sun.
The deal, estimated at around £45 million, is said to include £35 million as acting fees and another £10 million from sponsorships and brand tie-ups. If finalised, it would mark one of the most lucrative offers ever extended to a Hollywood star by the Indian film industry.
The film’s storyline reportedly revolves around a young American celebrity who falls in love with an Indian superstar, making it a cross-cultural romance with global appeal. Production is expected to span international locations such as New York, London, Paris, and Dubai.
While the scale of the reported offer has created a stir in entertainment circles worldwide, neither Sweeney nor the Bollywood producers involved have officially confirmed the deal. The Sun noted that the actress herself was “shocked” by the magnitude of the offer and is still considering it.
If it goes through, the project could signal a new chapter in Bollywood’s global outreach, positioning Indian cinema on par with international franchises in terms of budgets and star power.
