Mumbai: After the success of his Diwali release Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, actor Harshvardhan Rane is said to be preparing for a major genre shift. According to the exclusive story by Pinkvilla, the actor is in talks with producer Ekta Kapoor on a gangster drama with the Dubai city as the backdrop. Ekta Kapoor, who is known to have an eye of finding new talent and presenting captivating stories, is reportedly keen on Rane in this grand project.
Harshvardhan Rane in Ekta Kapoor’s Next Film
According to sources cited by Pinkvilla, the upcoming movie will be full of action, crime thriller, and deep character development. Ekta Kapoor finds Harshvardhan to be a man of the right caliber and intensity to play the part. Nevertheless, the project remains at the discussion level. The insider shared, they are still trying to figure out many things about the film but it is certainly a gangster saga with a modern touch to it. Audience remember that Rane had a reputation of very passionate love stories, and a movie like this would put him in an entirely new dimension, giving him a new and more youthful image.
Hopefully, everything will work out and Harshvardhan Rane will become a brutal gangster whose character is not one-dimensional, but has several shades of power, passion, and internal struggle. This represents a significant change to Rane, who has a career of romantic dramas such as Sanam Teri Kasam and Haseen Dillruba.
