Mumbai: The excitement around Dhurandhar: The Revenge just got bigger, but with a surprising twist. In February 2026, prior to this, it was announced that the long-awaited trailer would be released on March 5, in the legendary Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. A slight strategy change has however been adopted by the makers.

According to fresh updates, the trailer will now be released earlier than planned. Instead of a grand on-ground event, the team has decided to unveil the trailer digitally on Tuesday, March 3, which also coincides with the festive occasion of Holi. The move is expected to help the promo reach a much wider audience instantly, creating a strong buzz ahead of the film’s theatrical release.

One of the sources stated nearer to the development that the makers aimed to capitalise on the festive spirit and the increased internet activity around Holi. Due to this, the trailer will be released in digital platforms without a physical release. This is the flip-flop to the grand promotional approach in the first film.

The trailer of the first section of Dhurandhar was premiered at NMACC in the presence of almost 2000 fans of Ranveer Singh. It became one of the largest promotion events of 2025, and it was highly talked about on social media and news outlets. This time around the team is counting on the strength of digital reach to hype up gigantic anticipation.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Cast, Story and Box Office Buzz

Dhurandhar: The Revenge features an impressive ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios along with Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios, the film is one of the most awaited releases of the year.

The initial episode adhered to the intriguing plot of an Indian spy who penetrates into the criminal and political order of Pakistan, creating havoc inside a country. The movie started off on a great note at the box office and was accelerated via great word of mouth. Remarkably, the total amount collected in the second week was higher than in the first week and the movie later became the biggest earner of the Bollywood films. Such an enormous box office hit has set huge expectations about the sequel that will be released in cinemas on March 19.

Massive Box Office Clash with Toxic

On top of the anticipation, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will have a big box office battle against Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie is the long-awaited follow-up of Yash following the KGF series. Other prominent actors in the film include Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Akshay Oberoi.

The trailer of Toxic will be launched on March 8 at a grand event in Bengaluru, setting the stage for one of the biggest cinematic clashes of the year. With two large-scale films arriving close to each other, trade experts and fans are closely watching how this battle unfolds at the box office.
