Mumbai: Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. With Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles, the movie has started off very well in its second week, with a drastic rise in collection and has crossed the 250 crore mark on its overall collections. The film has been supported by strong word of the mouth and increased footfalls across shows.
Strong Day 8 Pushes Film Past Opening Day Numbers

On Day 8, which marked the beginning of its second week, Dhurandhar earned an estimated 32 crore nett as per early figures. This is greater than its opening day collection of 28 crore and a clear indication of an increasing interest among the audience. The figures are also nearly comparable to those of the initial Saturday performance of the film which represents strong hold and repeat value. Initial trends had forecasted a range of 31 to 33 crore, and this comfortably fell within the expectations of the film.
Occupancy Grows Sharply Through the Day
The Hindi occupancy figures tell a strong story of growth. The morning shows started off rather slowly with occupancy of approximately 19.64 percent. The rate increased gradually as the day went by and the afternoon shows were at 37.37 percent. Evening shows rose to an even higher percentage of 53.08 percent, and night shows recorded the greatest attendance of 73.16 percent. This positive trend indicates the high popularity of the later shows and the good buzz that goes on during the day.
Week 1 Numbers Place Dhurandhar Among Top Openers
Dhurandhar already raised 207.25 crore nett in India by the end of the first week. This performance places it at the 12th position among the highest first week collections in Bollywood history. The film finished just 12 crore short of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which had collected 219.25 crore in its opening week before going on to become the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2025 with a total of 585.7 crore nett.
Second Weekend Trends Look Extremely Promising
Advance booking trends suggest that Dhurandhar is set for a massive second weekend. Early tracking indicates a possible haul of over 120 crore nett across Saturday and Sunday. When these figures are attained, the movie will be squaring up against some of the largest second-weekend box office collections in recent memory, such as Pushpa 2.
Ranveer Singh Set for a Personal Box Office Record

The film is also shaping up to be Ranveer Singh’s biggest second week performer. His historical drama Padmaavat is already ranked 22 nd in terms of highest second week grossers with 69.5 crore. In the meantime, Simmba had already made 61.62 crore during its second week. As the weekend promises a lot, Dhurandhar will surely surpass these numbers and create a new milestone in the acting career of the actor.
Competition Ahead But Dhurandhar Holds the Ground
For now, Dhurandhar enjoys a largely clear run at the box office. However, the release of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash next week is expected to impact screen counts, followed by Kartik Aaryan’s TMMTMTTM during the Christmas week. Despite the upcoming competition, the film’s strong hold and audience support may help it sustain a long and profitable theatrical run through the holiday period.
