Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s big action entertainer Dhurandhar is proving its strength at the box office. After a strong opening day collection of Rs 27 crore net in India, the film grew even further on Saturday. Early estimates suggest that Dhurandhar collected around Rs 31 crore net on Day 2 across all languages. This makes its two day total to a remarkable Rs 58 crore net, exactly as early estimates had suggested the range of between 57 and 59 crore.

The growth on Saturday clearly shows that the audience excitement is intact. Despite early debates and online noise around the film, the numbers reflect solid acceptance among moviegoers.

Audience Footfall Rises Through the Day

Saturday experienced a progressive rise in footfalls in most areas. Morning shows recorded 17 to 18 percent occupancy, which then rose to 42 to 43 percent in the afternoon. The highest jump came during night shows where occupancy touched more than 63 percent. This trend shows that the word of mouth is playing out to the advantage of the film and attracting larger evening crowds.

Trade analysts also identify that the day to day increase of almost 15 percent is also a good indication to the trend in the weekend.

Worldwide Box Office Crosses Rs 77 Crore

Dhurandhar is performing well not only in India but also overseas. The film has grossed an estimated Rs 69.75 crore domestically by Saturday. The global figure has risen to about 77.35 crore with the overseas earnings amounting to approximately Rs 7.6 crore. If it continues this pace, Dhurandhar may reach the Rs 100 crore worldwide mark by the end of Sunday, making it one of Ranveer Singh’s strongest global openings.

Early weekend projections suggest a Rs 30 to 32 crore net Saturday, and the actual numbers are very close. Already with two solid days under its belt, the film is already on course to a net opening weekend in India of around 90 crore. If Sunday shows even a normal festival style bump, Dhurandhar could emerge as one of the biggest box office successes of Ranveer Singh’s career.

Strong Audience Response Despite Mixed Reviews

What is interesting is that Dhurandhar received mixed critic reviews on day one. However, public feedback has been far more positive. Viewers are praising the high action quotient, production scale and Ranveer’s intense performance. This contrast between critic reaction and audience reaction is helping the film maintain strong momentum at the ticket counters.

Thanks to this steady support, Dhurandhar now stands among the biggest opening films of 2025 after earning Rs 27 crore on its first day.
