Mumbai: Get ready for madness, chaos and nonstop laughter as the makers of the Dhamaal franchise have officially announced the release date of Dhamaal 4. On January 17, 2026, the team released a fun and quirky update that immediately caught people off guard, by confirming that the much anticipated comedy will be released in theaters on June 12, 2026.
The announcement came with a creative designed like a breaking news newspaper headline that read, “Dhamaal 4 in cinemas 12th June 2026.” It also carried the signature line, “Ab Dhamaal bola hai toh karna hi padega. Stay tuned,” perfectly setting the tone for the chaos the franchise is known for.
Dhamaal 4 Moves From March to June Release
Dhamaal 4 was earlier scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid. However, the makers have now pushed the film to June 12, reportedly to avoid a major box office clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2. The clash was a risky one and the first Dhurandhar film went on to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India and also earned a spot in the top five highest-grossing Indian films globally.
While no official reason has been stated, the new release date gives Dhamaal 4 a clear solo run and enough breathing space to attract family audiences during the summer holiday period.
Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Gang Reunite
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 brings back fan favorite characters who have become household names over the years. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi whose comic timing and chemistry have been one of the key factors behind the popularity of the franchise.
Alongside them there is a powerful supporting cast of which are Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan. Together, the ensemble promises a full blown comedy adventure packed with outrageous situations and laugh out loud moments.
The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T Series, in association with Devgn Films. It is a T Series Films, Maruti International and Panorama Studios production. Dhamaal 4 is produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
A Franchise That Has Spanned Nearly Two Decades
The Dhamaal journey began in 2007 with the release of the first film, inspired by the classic It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. The original starred an ensemble cast and went on to become a cult comedy. It was then followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011 and Total Dhamaal in 2019, a reboot with few recognizable faces.
After three successful theatrical runs and consistent audience demand for more laughter, Dhamaal 4 is set to continue the legacy with fresh madness while retaining the franchise’s core charm.
Dhamaal 4, with its new release date secured, a huge cast in place, and with Indra Kumar once again at the helm, looks like one of the largest comedy movies to be released in 2026. The laughter riot officially begins in theatres on June 12, 2026.
