Mumbai: The sequel to Bollywood’s superhit romantic comedy De De Pyaar De is now ready. The film’s motion poster along with the release date and new star cast has been officially announced. The film will be released in theaters on November 14, 2025.
Released in 2019, De De Pyaar De grossed approximately ₹143.04 crore in Mumbai including a total of ₹103.64 crore in India and approximately ₹19.66 crore in the international box office. Ajay Devgan, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu were in the lead roles in this film in which a comedy was added between the love of a young girl Aisha Khurana (Rakul Preet Singh) for a married man Ashish (Ajay Devgan) and his desire to divorce his wife Manju (Tabu) and marry his young girlfriend in which Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath also did a good job. At the end of the film Manju divorces her husband Ashish and asks him to marry Aisha Khurana.
Now its sequel De De Pyaar De 2 is coming in which R. Madhavan will play the role of Dev Khurana as Ayesha’s father the story will carry forward the first part, in the previous part Ashish had to divorce his previous wife to marry Aisha Khurana and in this new part, Aisha’s father Dev Khurana will have to agree for the marriage. The film also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor and Ishita Dutta. The film revolves around a family comedy and the inclusion of the powerful R. Madhavan will certainly add a new energy to the film.
De De Pyaar De 2 is directed by Anshul Sharma, while the first film was directed by Akiv Ali. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The story is co-written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. The music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Vipin Patwa, Amaal Mallik, Rajat Nagpal and Rochak Kohli while Hitesh Sonik provides the background score.
Releasing the motion poster Ajay Devgn wrote “Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Will Ashish get Ayesha’s parents’ approval?”
With a fresh storyline and R. Madhavan’s new presence the sequel promises to blend humour and emotion once again, continuing the legacy of its first part.
