Golden Peacock nod and festival recognition

Amaran was also nominated for the Golden Peacock Award in the International Competition category, placing it among a select group of films in contention at IFFI this year. The nomination and the Indian Panorama opening slot provide the film with a favorable festival profile outside of its box office run.

Back in Chennai he told the media that being recognised on an international stage felt like a milestone and that seeing the film at IFFI brought back the excitement of the release day.
