Hyderabad: South Indian superstar Allu Arjun posted something on his X account on October 24th that sent waves of joy through fans of Kaantara Chapter 1 and Rishabh Shetty. It’s rare to see a major superstar watch and praise someone else’s film without any promotion.

Allu wrote in his post, “Last night I watched Kaantara. Wow, what a mind-blowing film. I was in a trance watching it. Wow, what a mind-blowing film. I was in a trance watching it.”

Pushpa starer Allu Arjun called Rishab Shetty a “one-man show” because Shetty is the film’s writer, director, and actor. It’s difficult to work as an actor in front of the camera and a director behind the camera at the same time, but Rishabh has proven it with his work.

He also praised Kantara actress Rukmini, Jayaram in the role of Maharaja and Gulshan who played an effective villain in the film. He further wrote Aesthetic performances by Rukmini garu, Jayaram garu, Gulshan Devaiah garu and others. Allu Arjun praised the cinematographer, musician, producer of the film.

When a big artist watches a film voluntarily and praises it, it has a positive impact not only on the actors of the film but on the entire film industry. Kantara is a very beautiful film. The Central Post called it the film of the year in its review.

Rukmini expressed her happiness over Allu Arjun’s post and openly shared her perspective, writing, “Very grateful for your kind words Allu Arjun Garu.”

While the Bollywood film industry in India is preoccupied with stardom and ostentation, the South Indian film industry lives simply and works its part. This is why their films offer a better story and presentation quality than Bollywood.

In an interview, when Rishab Shetty was asked about the comparison between the Kannada film KGF and Kantara, Rishab replied, “Both are my films,” meaning that the South Indian film industry respects each other’s work, and this is what Allu Arjun’s post today proves.

The film, released on October 2, 2025, received a strong response. According to a Pinkvilla report, the film had a worldwide gross of Rs. 100 crore in just three weeks, as of October 24. It has earned Rs. 748 crore in Hindi alone and Rs. 181 crore in Hindi alone.
