Mumbai: The excitement around Ranveer Singh’s upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar has hit a new peak as the makers dropped Akshaye Khanna’s explosive first-look poster. Overnight, the internet lit up with reactions calling it one of his most intense transformations ever. The actor, known for his calm and composed screen presence, has stepped into a fierce, dangerous new zone that promises a powerful villain unlike anything he has played before.
Akshaye Khanna’s First Look From Dhurandhar
Akshaye Khanna’s poster introduces him as “The Apex Predator,” a title that perfectly matches his menacing appearance. He looks gritty, raw and battle-scarred: a bloodstreaked blue shirt, dirt smeared across his face, and serious injuries that suggest terrible fights. His fierce eyes reveal fearlessness and silent fury, though only half of his face is visible in low-light. His dishevelled hair is a contributing factor to the messiness in his world, as it introduces a man one who is unpredictable, clever and lethal.
The makers have been unveiling characters with unique titles, building a myth-like aura around each of them. R Madhavan was earlier revealed as “The Charioteer of Karma” while Arjun Rampal appeared as “The Angel of Death”. Sanjay Dutt’s character is intriguingly named “The Jinn”. Akshaye’s antagonist now joins this powerful lineup as the primary force opposing Ranveer Singh’s undercover R&AW agent.
Ranveer Singh himself shared the poster online, hyping up the film and marking the restart of Dhurandhar’s promotional campaign. The trailer, which was earlier postponed as a mark of respect after the tragic Red Fort blast, will now release tomorrow at exactly 12:12 PM.
Along with Ranveer and Akshaye, the film boasts a massive ensemble cast featuring R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. With each character carrying a mythic, symbolic identity, the spy thriller is shaping up to be a grand cinematic universe of its own.

Dhurandhar is also attracting attention for its runtime. Early reports suggest that the film is expected to be over three hours long, approximately three hours and five minutes. The final duration will be locked soon, and if this holds true, it will become one of Ranveer Singh’s longest films to date.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is said to be inspired by real intelligence operations. Ranveer Singh plays an undercover Indian spy working across the border and in Pakistan, allegedly, and Ranveer Singh works in areas where the danger is immense and he undergoes these missions to bring the invisible sacrifice of an intelligence agent. The film marks Ranveer and Aditya Dhar’s first collaboration and is set against a gripping backdrop of danger, strategy and emotional intensity.
The film’s trailer is now slated to drop on November 18 at 12:12 PM. Dhurandhar is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 5.
