About Bhagam Bhag
The original Bhagam Bhag, released in 2006, was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. The film revolved around a struggling theatre group that travels to London for a stage show but finds itself caught in a web of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and a murder mystery they did not commit. What followed was a fast paced comedy filled with confusion, chase sequences, and memorable one liners.
Other key characters in the film were Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Manoj Joshi and Asrani among others. Throughout the decades, Bhagam Bhag has acquired a cult status, and the sequel will preserve the same insanity but provide a new plot line to the modern viewers.
Akshay Kumar’s Work Front
Akshay Kumar was last seen in Jolly LLB 3, where he shared screen space with Arshad Warsi, reprising their popular roles from the franchise. The actor has a busy lineup ahead, including the horror comedy Bhooth Bangla. He will also feature prominently in Haiwaan, which features Saif Ali Khan.
