Mumbai: Ahaan Panday has officially announced his next big Bollywood move. The young actor took the stage during the NDTV Indian of the Year 2025 awards to affirm that he is collaborating with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar in his upcoming film. The announcement follows the success of his first film Saiyaara, a quick shift between being a newcomer and an action hero.

Ahaan Panday breaks silence on next project

When Ahaan was awarded his prize, he made a quick visit to the host, and Ahaan affirmed the long-rumoured collaboration. He announced that it will be an action film and that the project will start shooting in the next couple of months. While keeping most details under wraps, he shared that the film will be led by three actors under the age of 30 and will explore a format that has not been attempted in a long time.

What we know so far about the film

The initial buzz of this new project Ahaan Panday is going to team up with was first in October, when it was reported that Sharvari will be the lead female. Bobby Deol is set to play a negative role to give the cast more weight. It is also reported to have been supported by Yash Raj Films thus the reason why it is another high profile one in that the studio and a young leading actor have collaborated. According to reports, the action drama is likely to go on floors in March 2026, with the United Kingdom serving as one of the main shooting locations.

Gratitude for Saiyaara journey

Earlier in the evening, Ahaan was honoured with the Debutant Actor of the Year award. When receiving the trophy he talked about his first experience with a lot of warmth and those who were instrumental in molding his performance. He gave credit to the director Mohit Suri who helped him develop and credited his co-star Aneet Padda with being an important creative partner during the film.

Ahaan Panday also shared his belief in emotional storytelling, saying that the true goal of an artist is to ensure that at least one person leaves the cinema feeling moved.

Having a successful debut under his belt and with a big action movie with Ali Abbas Zafar booked, Ahaan Panday seems to be willing to venture into a bigger frame of reference in Bollywood. With the new project ready to roll in the near future, there is already great anticipation of what may prove to be a time making film in the career of the young actor.
