Mumbai: After months of silence and growing curiosity, actress Tridha Choudhury has confirmed that the much awaited fourth season of the show will go on floors in 2026. The update has also introduced new enthusiasm to the viewers who have anxiously looked forward to returning to the dark and captivating world of Baba Nirala since 2023.
Tridha Choudhury Breaks the Silence
In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Tridha Choudhury shared a clear update about the future of the show. Aashram season 4 was confirmed to be filmed very soon and she confirmed that the team is preparing to commence shooting in 2026. Her statement has quickly reignited discussions around the series, which had stayed largely under wraps for several months with no official announcements.
Why Aashram Continues to Grip Audiences
Aashram remains one of Prakash Jha’s most popular and debated web shows. Led by Bobby Deol in a career-defining role as Baba Nirala, the series revolves around the theme of blind faith, power, manipulation and corruption. The fact that Deol had been turned into the likeable, yet disturbing godman has also gained much credit and has been said to be the key to the success of the show.

Talking about the new season, Tridha also mentioned how she somehow accidentally got a role that altered her career. She remembered that she once met Madhvi Bhatt, writer and creative power of the show, at a supermarket. Madhvi motivated Tridha to think of the project and even recommended her name to Prakash Jha. However, the director was initially unsure, feeling that she looked too young for the character and needed to appear more mature and grounded.
The Transformation That Made a Difference
Determined to make the role work, Tridha followed Prakash Jha’s guidance closely. She revealed that she gained weight to make herself appear less glamorous and more authentic because the character needs a worn out look. Her training was also rigorous along with the physical changes, particularly, in dialogue delivery and performance in general. That effort paid off, as the role went on to become one of the most recognisable characters in the series.
Looking back at the journey, Tridha admits she never imagined the scale of impact Aashram would have on her life. She shared that the show turned her into a household name across India. She remembered how even now people greet her with “Japnaam” rather than a normal hello, showing the extent to which the series has integrated into popular culture. According to her, Aashram proved to be a groundbreaking project not just for her, but for the entire cast.

On the professional front, Tridha was most recently seen in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which released on December 12, 2025. As she keeps on experimenting with new roles, fans are still looking forward to her appearance in Aashram season 4.
