Mumbai: On the occasion of his 61st birthday, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan gave fans an exciting update about the future of his career. In a video message that is widely circulating on social media, the actor thanked fans for their constant love and revealed that he has finally locked the next few films he will act in.
Addressing his fans personally, Aamir Khan was thankful to the so-called Aamir Universe fans, which he affectionately referred to. He explained that the fact that they have continued to support him over the years is something that matters a lot to him making him work harder.
The actor also showed what he has been doing over the past few months. He claims that the last six months have been dedicated practically to a script-reading and a strict selection of his further acting assignments.
Khan said that he would take his time to analyze stories before committing herself to them. He has finally settled on two films that he would act in next after months of listening to ideas and scripts. Nevertheless, he has not disclosed the information about those projects yet.
Changes at Aamir Khan Productions and upcoming releases
Along with selecting acting projects, Khan also spoke about changes in his production company, Aamir Khan Productions. He revealed that producer and executive Aparna Purohit will now handle the day to day functioning of the banner.
Khan claimed that he had spent much time of his life running the production house but henceforth he intends to do more acting. As Purohit handles the running of the business, he hopes that people will see him in front of the screen more often.
The actor also affirmed that there are two movies under his banner that are already scheduled to be released this year. The former is Ek Din and it is planned to be released in theaters May 1. Khan is in the process of working on the post production of the film and, personally, he is engaged in the few details when the film release date is coming near.
Another big production under his flag is Lahore 1947 that will release in theaters on August 13. Other than these, Aamir Khan also talked of another movie called Ati Sundar. He says that the project should be released at the end of the year things going well.
A birthday filled with work instead of celebrations
A source close to the development revealed that this birthday is slightly different for the superstar. Even though fans are celebrating his milestone, Khan himself is largely occupied with work.
With Ek Din nearing its release, he is spending long hours in post production and closely monitoring every aspect of the film. This intense involvement has kept his schedule packed during what would otherwise be a celebratory time.
New acting ventures are being brought to completion and several productions are going to be released and so the next few months might be busy and exciting in the career of Aamir Khan. It will take a few months of picking the right scripts before fans can expect to see more of the actor on the screen.
