The much-loved couple shared adorable sneak peeks from their haldi ceremony, held on the morning of February 25 in Udaipur, giving fans a closer look at their vibrant pre-wedding festivities ahead of the big day on February 26, 2026.
Going to Instagram, both actors shared some shots of the action and it appeared to be a colourful presentation that appeared more like a vibrant Holi party. The decor (marigold-filled) and the playful use of water guns and splashes of colour made the celebration a warm, amusing and personal event, which reflected their relationship.
From Vijay to Rushie: Love, Colours and Pet-Themed Decor
One of the biggest highlights from the haldi ceremony was Vijay Deverakonda’s sweet nickname for Rashmika Mandanna. The actor unveiled that he endears her with the name of Rushie and the name immediately became popular among the fans. One of the elements of their decor was their names Vijay and Rushie printed on flowered paper, with arrangements of real flowers.
The place had a beautiful pond with flowers, marigold petals and bright flowers which made the couple have a dreamy backdrop. Rashmika also posted her photos afterwards, providing a glimpse of the yellow-colored decor, nice table settings and a happy meal in the yellow, white, and gold colors.
Adding a deeply personal touch, the decor also included a mural of their beloved pet dogs. Rashmika’s dog Aura and Vijay’s dog Storm were featured in an adorable artwork of two puppies driving a car, complete with colourful umbrellas and playful details.

The haldi ceremony became the complete scale wedding with the family members and friends participating in the celebration with colours, water guns and laughter. It was actually as though Holi had come early to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families.
Before the haldi, there was a leaked picture of the grand sangeet night of the couple. The photo depicted Vijay and Rashmika holding hands as they stroll around in a glow of lights. Rashmika was stunning in a dazzling lehenga, and Vijay made it simple in black, which had lot of couple goals.
The sangeet night also had an emotional moment when Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, reportedly addressed Rashmika as “my darling Rushi” and showered her with blessings, leaving many guests teary-eyed.
