Mumbai: Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai residence became the centre of concern late Saturday night after unidentified assailants allegedly fired multiple rounds outside his home. It occurred at around 12.43 am in Juhu area, and this led to immediate response of the Mumbai Police and increased security near the house of the filmmaker.
According to police officials, four rounds were fired outside the premises. No injuries were reported, and the situation was brought under control soon after the incident. To be on the safer side, extra police officers were assigned to the location to assure the safety of the director and his family.
Police and Forensic Teams Rush to the Spot
Juhu Police and crime branch teams reached the location soon after the firing and began investigating the matter. Bullet shells were recovered from the spot, confirming that shots were indeed fired. A forensic squad and ballistic experts were sent to the scene to gather evidence and examine the type of firing.
Police officials stated that the motive behind the incident is still unclear. Authorities are examining whether the firing was intended as a threat or linked to any other reason. A senior officer of Juhu Police station affirmed that security has been tightened near the residence of Rohit Shetty as the investigation goes on.
Rising Safety Concerns for Bollywood Celebrities
Footage showing a heavy police presence outside the filmmaker’s home has surfaced on social media. The visuals show police vehicles, barricades and officers stationed outside the building, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
Rohit Shetty and his family have not issued any statement on the incident so far. The firing has once again brought attention to the growing security concerns surrounding Bollywood personalities. Similar cases have been reported in the past years, with attempts at firing outside the Mumbai house of actor Salman Khan, where the threats were later associated with Bishnoi gang.
Mumbai Police will still be investigating and they have promised that they are considering all possible angles. More information should be revealed as the investigation advances.
