Actor Priyanka Chopra is once again set to represent India on one of the biggest global stages. The star is to be one of the presenters of the 98 th Academy Awards, where he joins a long list of Hollywood celebrities who will appear on the stage during the most important ceremony of the year.
The announcement was made by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday. Priyanka was listed alongside some of the biggest stars of the year like Robert Downey Jr. and Anne Hathaway, and this made it one of the most discussed presenter lists of the year.
Priyanka also shared the exciting update with fans on Instagram, simply writing, “The 2026 Academy Awards.”

Priyanka Chopra returns to the Oscars stage
This will not be Priyanka Chopra’s first time presenting at the Oscars. The global celebrity already presented herself at the 2016 event. She has also over the years been asked to give awards at other significant international conferences like the Golden Globe Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
She joins an impressive group of presenters this year. Will Arnett, Paul Mescal and Gwyneth Paltrow are on the list. The earlier announced presenters are Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Saldana among others.
Indian actors have increasingly made their presence felt at the Oscars in recent years. In 2023, Deepika Padukone presented an award at the ceremony, the same year when the song “Naatu Naatu” from RRR won Best Original Song.
Record breaking nominations for Sinners
Ahead of the ceremony, filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners has already created history. The movie earned 16 nominations and is the most-nominated film of all time in the history of the Academy Awards. It became the record holder in terms of the number of nominations, which used to belong to such classics as All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land.
Other major contenders this year include Hamnet, Sentimental Value, One Battle After Another and Frankenstein.
The 98th Oscars will take place on March 15, 2026 at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
What’s next for Priyanka Chopra


On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was recently seen in the action thriller The Bluff, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Her next appearance will be in the film Varanasi by filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli with Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Priyanka appears in the film as a character, Mandakini. The movie will be her Telugu cinema debut and will be released on April 7, 2027.
Apart from the film, she also has the second season of the spy series Citadel in the pipeline.
With another Oscars appearance lined up and multiple big projects ahead, Priyanka continues to strengthen her presence on the global entertainment stage.
