Mumbai: Prabhas’ much awaited cop action drama Spirit has officially entered full scale production, and early updates suggest the Rebel Star has already completed his portions for the first schedule. The shoot has just started with a classical pooja ceremony featuring megastar Chiranjeevi, setting the stage for one of the biggest films of the coming years.
According to reports circulating online, Prabhas worked through an intense schedule that included jail sequences and key conversation scenes with Triptii Dimri. Although these details are yet to be confirmed by the makers, the buzz surrounding the film is gradually increasing.
Jail Scenes, Night Shoots and a Hyderabad College
If reports are to be believed, Prabhas first shot crucial jail scenes during the opening days of the Mumbai and Hyderabad schedule. Following that, he reportedly filmed two night sequences featuring important dialogues between his character and Triptii Dimri’s role.
The team is said to have shot parts of these scenes at a women’s college in Hyderabad, adding a realistic backdrop to the intense tone of the film. The cast and crew will soon fly to Mexico due to the next schedule with these segments having been completed fully. Nevertheless, these updates are not official until the makers validate them.
Spirit: A Hard Hitting Cop Action Drama
Directed with a vision to present Prabhas in a powerful new avatar, Spirit casts the actor as an IPS officer. The recently released audio story glimpse received strong reactions, giving audiences a preview of an intense exchange between Prabhas and Prakash Raj.
The film promises raw action, high stakes drama and a gripping clash between layered characters. Rumours also suggest a heartfelt love story that will run parallel to the action heavy plot.
Vivek Oberoi has joined the cast in a key role, and the team is reportedly taking extra care to prevent leaks of Prabhas’ look, considering the scale and secrecy surrounding the project.
The Raja Saab: Prabhas’ Next Release on January 9, 2026
While Spirit continues filming, Prabhas is also preparing for his next big theatrical release The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi, this romantic horror comedy presents the actor in a lighter, entertaining avatar.
The story is about a young man who wants to sell the property of his late grandfather and earn easy money, but he is faced by a malevolent and vile spirit of the grandfather. There is humour, romance and spookiness in the movie, which is promising to release a fun festival.
The cast includes Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and more. After being postponed from its earlier December 2025 slot, the film will now release worldwide on January 9, 2026, aligning with Pongal and Sankranti celebrations.
Beyond Spirit and The Raja Saab: Prabhas’ Packed Line Up
Prabhas’ slate does not end with these two films. The actor will also headline Fauzi, a period drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. With three major films in different genres lined up, Prabhas’ next few years promise diverse stories and large scale cinematic experiences.
With Spirit moving swiftly and the first schedule reportedly wrapped, fans can look forward to more official announcements soon. The combination of Prabhas, a stylish cop role and an action heavy narrative has already set expectations sky high.
