Mumbai: The much-awaited Kanchana 4 has found its leading ladies, Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi. Filmmaker-actor Raghava Lawrence took to social media to announce the new cast of his iconic horror-comedy franchise, revealing that the two stunning divas will share screen space with him for the first time.
Welcoming Nora Fatehi to the Kanchana universe, Lawrence wrote, “She comes to steal your hearts with her beauty and make you forget your horror.” The post instantly went viral as fans celebrated Nora’s Tamil debut.
Soon after, Lawrence introduced Pooja Hegde as the other leading lady with another witty post, saying, “Even in your deepest fear, she comes to tie up and faint you with her beauty.” Both posts have set fans into a frenzy, raising excitement for the next chapter of one of Tamil cinema’s biggest horror-comedy franchises.
The Kanchana universe began with Muni (2007), directed and headlined by Raghava Lawrence. Its massive success led to Kanchana (2011), Kanchana 2 (2015), and Kanchana 3 (2019). Both films mixed supernatural horror with humor and emotional drama, which were gold at the box office.
Although each chapter was to have a different supporting cast, however, Kanchana has over time become one of the most successful horror franchises in Tamil, with a number of remakes produced in Indian languages, such as Laxmii (2020) in Hindi.
With Kanchana 4, Lawrence promises to take the story to the next level while retaining the franchise’s signature blend of scares, laughter, and heart. The film reportedly went on floors in September and is currently in production.
Apart from Kanchana 4, Lawrence is also working on Benz, an action-packed vigilante thriller that’s part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU), the same world that includes Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo. The film stars Nivin Pauly as the antagonist and Samyuktha in the lead role. In a heartfelt announcement, Lawrence revealed he plans to donate his remuneration from Kanchana 4 to convert his first home into a school, a gesture that has won hearts online.
Pooja Hegde & Nora Fatehi’s Work Front
Pooja Hegde is ready with multiple projects lined up. She will next be seen opposite Thalapathy Vijay in Jana Nayagan, a political actioner directed by H. Vinoth and slated for release on January 9, 2026. She also stars in Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and an upcoming Dulquer Salmaan project.
Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi is set to appear in the Kannada action film KD: The Devil alongside Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt. With Kanchana 4, she steps into Tamil cinema for the first time, promising a performance as glamorous as it is powerful.
