Mumbai: Spirit, a much-hyped action-based drama by Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the next year. According to recent reports, the makers have an exciting cliffhanger in mind, a possible sequel is on the anvil!

Will Prabhas Spirit Meet an Open Climax?

As reported by Mid-Day, the producers of Spirit are even considering to conclude the film with an open end, leaving the audience on the edge of their seat and establishing a grand universe around Prabhas’s cop character.

A source informed the publication that Sandeep Reddy Vanga and his team desire to build a franchise around the fierce police persona of Prabhas, who left audiences screaming to watch more. The report also indicates that a look test has already been done, and Prabhas will feature in the film in two contrasting avatars.

Spirit will proceed to floors in February 2026, immediately after the upcoming film The Raja Saab by Prabhas. The shoot will supposedly commence in Mumbai, as well as international schedule acress Mexico, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Mumbai leg of filming is also reported to include a flashback sequence. Nevertheless, the production team are yet to confirm these reports, making fans wonder to what extent this cinematic buzz will materialize.

Ahead of Spirit, The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi, will release on January 9, 2026, during the Sankranthi/Pongal festival. The film features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and others playing key roles. Besides these, Prabhas has several other big projects in the pipeline, such as Salaar 2, Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, and PrabhasHanu (tentatively named Fauji) and fans have a lot to look forward to in terms of action packed cinematic year.
