Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is making his debut in the streaming world as a producer. He is collaborating with Prime Video to create a thriller series, titled “Storm” (working title). This original drama marks a significant collaboration between the streamer and Roshan’s HRX Films a division of Filmkraft Productions.
The series will be produced by Roshan and Eshaan Roshan. Following his deal with Yash Raj Films as director and star of Krrish 4 under Filmkraft Productions. Hrithik Roshan’s collaboration with Eshaan Roshan as a producer with Amazon Prime marks a major step forward in carrying forward his family legacy.
HRX Films, founded in 2019, carries forward the cinematic legacy of filmmakers J. Om Prakash’s Filmyug and Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions. The company is led by CEO Eshaan Roshan.
The series is directed by filmmaker Ajitpal Singh who also wrote the original story. He has collaborated with several international writers giving the series a global feel in both content and presentation. The plot is set in Mumbai and is being presented as an emotional-psychological thriller that explores the depths of human nature amidst the life, relationships and mysteries of a modern metropolis.
Amazon Prime described the series as a compelling thriller and provided cast details in a post. The series stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Shrishti Srivastava and Rama Sharma. Judging by the cast it appears this could be a female-centric web series with Hrithik Roshan’s girlfriend Saba Azad also cast in a lead role. Zeba Akhtar’s role in Saba Azad’s web series “Songs of Paradise” recently garnered critical acclaim. Alaya F was also seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Prime Video has described this partnership as a new chapter for the Indian entertainment industry. Sources indicate that development on the project has begun and shooting is expected to begin soon. However a release date or episode count has not yet been disclosed. Production-wise the project is being developed with high technical standards ensuring it reaches not only Indian but also international audiences with equal impact.
