Mumbai: K-pop superstar Jisoo has sparked excitement among Indian fans after revealing that she would love to star in a Bollywood film. She expressed her interest in a recent interview with one of the members of BLACKPINK and actor Seo In-guk promoting their new series.
Seo In-guk replied that he would not hesitate to be a part of a Bollywood movie who writes the story about an AI-based romance. “If I’m given the opportunity, I would absolutely love to do it,” he said in the conversation with India Today. Jisoo echoed the excitement and jokingly told viewers to keep an eye out for them. “I hope you can, you know, please look out for us. We’ll be there,” she said with a laugh.
The lighthearted exchange quickly went viral online, especially among Indian fans who were thrilled at the possibility of seeing the K-pop icon in a Bollywood film.
Fans imagine Jisoo in big Bollywood collaborations
Soon after the clip surfaced, social media users began discussing which filmmakers Jisoo could collaborate with if she ever entered Bollywood. There were numerous fans who proposed that her classy screen presence would fit the huge movie worlds of film directors such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali or S. S. Rajamouli.
Some also mentioned major production houses such as Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions as potential collaborators.
One fan posted on the social media that Jisoo will be a perfect match to the cinematic style of Bhansali and that she would prefer to appear in a period dramatized or a musical film made visually grand.
Jisoo’s growing acting career


Apart from her global music success, Jisoo has been steadily building her acting career. She first gained major recognition as the lead in the 2021 Korean drama Snowdrop, for which she won the Outstanding Korean Actress award at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
She later expanded her range with the 2025 zombie thriller Newtopia and made her big screen debut in the fantasy film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.
About her new Netflix series
Jisoo’s latest project, Boyfriend on Demand, premiered on Netflix on March 6. The mini-series are based on a 10-episode series in which she played the role of Seo Mi-rae, a webtoon producer who relies on a virtual dating platform to deal with relationships in the contemporary world.
Seo In-guk stars as Park Kyeong-nam, her workmate and love interest, which adds a blend of competition, humour and emotional scenes in the story. Directed by Kim Jung-sik and written by Namgung Do-young, the series blends AI-driven romance with heartfelt drama.
With Jisoo’s growing presence in acting and her recent Bollywood comment going viral, fans are now eagerly hoping that the crossover between K-pop and Indian cinema could become a reality in the future.
