Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor is lining up an exciting and diverse slate of films for 2026, with two very different projects marking the next phase of her career. The actress is now finishing the work on the biographical drama Eetha and would immediately proceed with her next project which is the much-awaited fantasy project Naagin which is set to commence in April.
Final Phase of Eetha Nears Completion
Shraddha is in the final stretch of shooting Eetha, directed by Laxman Utekar. In the movie, she enters the character of the legendary Tamasha and Lavani star Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a role that has demanded a lot of physical effort and emotional coloring. It is said that the actress spent months training to play the challenging role.
According to a source quoted by Mid Day, Shraddha has been fully committed to finishing the film on time despite the physical challenges involved. The makers are confident that the shoot will be completed by March. The production did face a short pause after Shraddha suffered an injury during a dance sequence, but insiders say the delay did not impact the overall schedule in a major way.
Shraddha Kapoor From Biopic to Fantasy with Naagin
After Eetha, Shraddha Kapoor will change the genre in a sharp shift as she starts working on Naagin, a high concept fantasy film based on supernatural and mythological themes. It is an old project but the team has been working on the visual effects and finalizing on the cast before the production begins.
A production insider revealed that with Shraddha confirmed as the lead, the rest of the casting has now fallen into place. The filmmakers are hoping to start shooting by April 2026. Naagin is anticipated to present Shraddha in a totally different form, and it is a contrast to the performance based and intense role she does in Eetha.
Having a biographical drama and a fantasy spectacle front to front, Shraddha Kapoor is obviously preparing a schedule full of memorable events as she demonstrates her readiness to experiment with different narratives and genres as she enters 2026.
