Mumbai: Rashmika Mandanna is welcoming the New Year far away from the spotlight, soaking in the beauty of Rome while wedding rumours with Vijay Deverakonda continue to make headlines back home. The actress recently posted a stream of photos and videos of her European vacation, and her fans got a hearty look at her leisurely and soulful vacation. What really stood out though, was the presence of Vijay Deverakona’s brother Anand Deverakonda in one of the photos and this immediately created a buzz on social media with new speculation the Vijay might also be vacationing with her.
Rashmika’s Rome Diaries Win Hearts
On Monday, Rashmika Mandanna took to Instagram to share moments from her Rome trip, simply captioning the post “Rome so far,” with Taylor Swift’s song Ophelia playing in the background. The photos show her enjoying the city in her own calm and effortless way.
Among the most impressive images is a picture of Rashmika who is sitting in a train with a bunch of sunflowers and red roses in her hands looking out of a window. With basic makeup and glasses, she appears to be peaceful and content, capturing the quiet joy of travel. There is another frame providing picturesque scenery through the window of the train, blue skies, mountains in the background, and soft motion blur creating a postcard like moment.
Her visit to Rome’s iconic landmarks also features prominently. At the Trevi Fountain, Rashmika can be seen wearing a brown coat with her hair tied back as she smiles at the historic monument behind her. In another photograph, she is in the Colosseum, with the sun shining golden and smiling wide and radiating travel happiness.
Adding an artistic touch to her album, Rashmika Mandanna shared a shadow picture where two people form a heart shape with their hands against an old stone wall. Anand Deverakonda’s Presence Sparks Buzz
Among the many photos, one image stood out instantly. It featured Anand Deverakonda, Vijay Deverakonda’s brother, smiling as he shared a quiet moment with Rashmika Mandanna. The two were seen looking at each other as the camera captured the moment, confirming that Anand is part of the Rome trip. The presence of him has also made fans question whether Vijay Deverakonda is on vacation with the group as well but this has not been confirmed yet.
From Co Stars to Life Partners
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam, which went on to become a massive hit. Their on screen chemistry won hearts, and they reunited again in 2019 for Dear Comrade. Their off screen relationship has over the years led to a lot of speculation as their fans have seen the same Instagram backgrounds and have even noticed Rashmika in Vijay family get-togethers.
In October this year, the two reportedly got engaged in a private ceremony attended by only close friends and family. Although neither of the two actors has come out publicly about this, the loving gesture of Vijay towards Rashmika during an occasion held to market The Girlfriend, was not missed.
A source close to the couple has confirmed to Hindustan Times that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are planning to get married on February 26 at a palace in Udaipur. The heritage property has reportedly been finalised and the wedding is going to remain small with only loved ones attending.
