She noted that a reaction of the audience usually depends on personal ethical opinions and that there is worth in conflict and debate. Kriti explained that what is important is that the audience is not wholly on one side of the characters against the other side of the character as real people are not perfect and can make mistakes without being evil.

Speaking specifically about Mukti, Kriti shed light on the emotional weight her character carries throughout the film. One of the most debated moments involves Mukti’s decision to give her child to her husband, a choice that has drawn both criticism and sympathy.

Kriti Sanon clarified that Mukti is a person with a heart who is highly sensitive and empathetic and this only increases the weight of guilt. She explained that the character is emotionally shattered in her own world, full of the notion that she might have ruined lives and contributed to the death of somebody without any intention to do so. In the case of Mukti, the guilt is not a one-time affair but an overwhelming one that defines every move she makes.

She disclosed that there are almost two grand schedules of shootings that are already completed, and also there is one more schedule which will be commencing shortly in Mumbai. She also teased that the film features fantastic music and that her look in Cocktail 2 will be very different from what audiences have seen her in before.
